Grades 3-6 will present a Christmas program the day after Christmas at church. I love to work with the third graders as they practice in our Sunday School class. There are always great songs, and of course wonderful verses. This year this one's been running through my head (we're probably going to have the kids sing it at our nursing home music program this year, too)
C is for the Christ Child, born upon that day,
H for herald angels in the night.
R for our Redeemer,
I for Israel;
S is for the star that shone so bright.
T is for 3 wise men, they who traveled far.
M is for the manger where He lay.
A's for all He stands for.
S means shepherds came.
That's why there's a Christmas day.
Prophecy:
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
~~~~~~~
Fulfilled:
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Luke 2
